Scripps Investments & Loans provided $85,340,000 in financing to Crosswinds Monte Verde, LLC, for the acquisition & development of a 621-acre master planned community in Buckeye, Arizona. Crosswinds at Monte Verde is 32 miles west of Downtown Phoenix, and 1 mile south of I-10, the project is approved for 2,142 residential units. The project site includes a 55 acre parcel which is being given to the City of Buckeye for the construction of a new high school, scheduled to open in the fall of 2007. The loan process were used to fund acquisition of the project, completion of the project mapping, the Borrower’s contribution to a regional wastewater treatment facility expansion, and a portion of the high school improvements.
