The following is a short synopsis of the history of their company:

The FCI operation was originally the foreclosure division of Pacific Pension and Investment. It split off as its own company and incorporated in 1982 as Foreclosure Consultants, Inc, dba FCI. In 1988 Mercury Savings turned over its private portfolio of about 2000 loans to FCI for servicing. Also in 1998, FCI bought Aames Home Loan’s Private Lender Division (known as Private Lending Services), consisting of over 2000 investors. FCI regularly receives referrals from Department of Real Estate auditors to assign FCI the loan servicing of failed companies. FCI currently services over $500 million in private lender Loan Servicing and is also one of the top Loan Servicing and Independent Trustee Foreclosure companies in the State of California.

Note:  FCI’s services include collecting the payments and late charges when necessary, keeping the records of amounts paid, payment dates, interest and principal amounts, sending late notices and the required balloon payment notices, as applicable, and providing 1099 and 1098 reports for required IRS reporting.
